Black in Sprunki — The Character Who Starts It All

Black is the 20th and final character in Sprunki — and the only one who changes everything. He looks harmless at first: stark black outline, white tie, tall top hat, glowing white eyes. No visible mouth. Minimal design. But drag him onto an empty polo and the game flips completely.

The screen goes dark for about two seconds. Then everyone comes back wrong.

In normal mode, Black plays a deep ambient track using Metal Ambience soundfont — notes E3, C3, A2, and D3. Low and unsettling, even before horror mode hits. According to the official Fandom wiki, he’s described as “frick’d up from the start” by creator NyankoBfLol. He wasn’t corrupted by anything — he arrived that way.

In horror mode, Black stays completely still. No animations, no movement. While every other character transforms and reacts, he just stands there. That stillness is somehow the most unsettling part.

Fans have built deep lore around him. One popular theory: Black lost someone close — possibly his daughter or a companion — and her disappearance is what drove him to destroy the cheerful Sprunki world. An announcement about a missing girl appears on a tree in the horror background, and she shares design elements with Black. Whether that’s intentional is unconfirmed.

What is confirmed: Black can’t kill Fun Bot (immortal), forgot to go after Gray and Jevin, and occasionally acts kind despite being the main antagonist. The creator himself called him “an ominous and violent character” who sometimes “breaks character and acts like a kind grandfather.”

That contradiction is exactly why fans can’t stop talking about him.
