Gray is the confirmed protagonist of Sprunki horror mode — not fan theory, confirmed by creator NyankoBfLol directly. While Simon leads normal mode, Gray is the character whose perspective anchors the horror experience. He’s the one navigating the chaos while everyone around him falls apart.
His design is deliberately plain: gray fur, cat-like features, stoic expression. He plays an effects track — atmospheric, textural, not melodic. In normal mode he’s a background figure, cool and detached. He finds Simon interesting but keeps everyone at arm’s length. He’s aware of something the other characters don’t know, though what exactly remains unconfirmed.
In horror mode, Gray survives. His monochromatic design apparently grants him some immunity to Black’s corruption — he doesn’t transform the way Oren, Pinki, or Simon do. But “survival” here doesn’t mean unaffected. He’s terrified. His demeanor shifts from stoic to alert and frightened. He watches characters he knows get destroyed, mutilated, or turned against each other. He keeps going anyway.
