Sprunki Horror Mode — What It Is & How to Trigger It
Horror mode is the dark flip side of Sprunki — the original mod also calls it Phase 2. The game starts bright and cheerful, then one character switches the whole thing into something genuinely disturbing.
Drag Black In — That’s the Trigger
- Fill every empty polo with characters first.
- Drag Black’s icon onto any open polo.
- The screen goes fully dark for exactly 2 seconds.
- Horror mode kicks in — and Black locks onto the stage, so you can’t pull him back off.
The order matters because the game won’t let Black work on an empty board. He’s the character who triggers it, and he needs the full cast in place first.
What Actually Changes
The background flips to bloody red, with real human eyes staring out of the clouds and a flashing red snowflake backdrop behind everything. The whole UI starts glitching.
The tempo jumps from 100 BPM up to 140, though the key stays in E minor the entire time. Every character and polo turns horrific, and all the sounds shift completely.
The Catch Nobody Mentions
Try placing Black before the board’s full and the game just blocks you. A message pops up reading “Don’t mess with me yet… Meet your friends first” — and you’re stuck in normal mode until every slot is filled.
Who Survived, Who Didn’t
By the mod’s own canon, Jevin, Gray, Wenda, Mr Fun Computer and Fun Bot make it through with no injuries. Brud and Pinki survive but end up hurt.
Black’s own form just stands there — completely still, no animation, playing one ominous ambient track. You can see what happened to all of them on the character pages.
How to Turn It Back Off
Place Black and Mr Fun Computer together, mute Mr Fun Computer, then wait for the reload. That drops you straight back to normal mode.
